Bowie’s in the Library

No, being a librarian does not mean I read all day for a living.  Sometimes I make toys.

My coworker is trying to get more teens interested in her teen programs, so she tasked us with helping her make a paper toy display in hopes that they’ll sign up for a toy making program.  It was the best day ever.  Toy-A-Day has Beatles (Yellow Submarine and Sgt. Pepper’s), Coraline, Einstein, Harry Potter, Edgar Allen Poe toys and lots more.  Our teens need to stop being too cool for school and sign up for all the awesome stuff she comes up with.  Or maybe we should just do a kid-at-heart program for adults who don’t want to grow up, because I’d sign up.  Wait, I kind of already did by becoming a children’s librarian.  JEALOUS?!

I made Ziggy Stardust first and it had me humming this for the rest of the day.

“How far out are you, man?” “I’m pretty far out.” “Tha't’s pretty far out, man.”

When Jemaine sings the line “Groovitational pull” I die laughing.  His face is incredible.
